Psychosufism Study in the Qur’anic Narrative of Surah Maryam Verses 22–26: A Holistic Approach to Women’s Mental Health
Abstract
Women's mental health is a crucial issue, especially when facing psychosocial and spiritual pressures simultaneously. This research aims to analyze Maryam's psychospiritual experience in the QS. Maryam verses 22–26 and formulate this narrative as a psychosufistic-based mental health framework from the perspective of Zakiyah Daradjat's theory of religious experience and awareness. This research uses qualitative literature study methods. The research results show that QS. Maryam 22–26 depicts the dynamics of a psychological crisis that is addressed through active religious coping, including submission to God, spiritual awareness, and obedience to Divine guidance. In Zakiyah Daradjat's framework, religiosity serves as a source of inner calm, emotion regulation, and meaning in life. These findings constitute a holistic, integrative framework for women's mental resilience. This research contributes by offering a psychosufistic analysis model based on Al-Qur'an narratives that is reflective and applicable to the mental health of contemporary Muslim women.
