Analysis of the Collection, Facilities, and Infrastructure of SMA Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong Library Based on Indonesia National School Library Standards 2017

Abstract

The collection and facilities of a library is essential components. The collection encompasses all types of information in the form of printed works, written documents, and recorded materials. In contrast, facilities refer to all items, objects, and inventory owned by the library and utilized for its operations. The National Library Standards serve as a benchmark for library management. This study employs the 2017 National Library Standards as a reference point. The research aims to assess the collection and facilities at SMA Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong Library in accordance with the National Library Standards. A qualitative research method is utilized, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. Two informants will be interviewed: the head librarian and the circulation librarian. The findings indicate that SMA Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong Library has not fully implemented the National Library Standards. Regarding collection standards, there is a need for additional library materials to meet the required quantity. In terms of facilities, only one aspect fails to meet the requirements related to the size of the building and library space. Out of the ten indicators concerning the collection and facilities at SMA Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong Library, three indicators remain unfulfilled
