Tinjauan Etika Terhadap Retorika Pejabat dalam Komunikasi Publik: Studi Pernyataan Prabowo Subianto dan Hasan Nasbi

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis retorika komunikasi publik dua tokoh Indonesia, yakni Prabowo Subianto dan Hasan Nasbi, dengan menyoroti bagaimana gaya komunikasi keduanya berinteraksi dengan prinsip etika komunikasi, persepsi publik, dan tanggung jawab moral dalam ruang demokrasi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi wacana dan analisis media sosial. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kedua tokoh menunjukkan gaya retorika yang berbeda namun mengandung risiko etis serupa. Prabowo lebih mengedepankan retorika emosional dengan pendekatan populis, yang kadang menyederhanakan persoalan kompleks seperti deforestasi demi argumentasi nasionalisme ekonomi. Sementara itu, Hasan Nasbi cenderung memakai retorika elitis dan provokatif, yang dalam kasus tertentu, seperti candaan terkait pengiriman kepala babi ke redaksi Tempo, justru memperlihatkan insensitivitas terhadap nilai kemanusiaan dan kebebasan pers. Kedua pendekatan tersebut, meskipun efektif dalam membentuk opini publik, cenderung melanggar prinsip tanggung jawab retoris yang menekankan empati, kejujuran, dan penghargaan terhadap martabat publik.
