Focus and Scope

At-Tabsyir : Journal of Islamic Broadcasting Communication aims to advance academic research and scientific studies in the field of Islamic communication and broadcasting, grounded in the values of Islam, humanity, and national integrity. The journal serves as a platform for exploring the theoretical, practical, and cultural dimensions of Islamic communication in contemporary media and society.

Scope
This journal covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Islamic Da’wah Communication – strategies, methods, and innovations in conveying Islamic messages through various media.
  • Islamic Media and Journalism – production, ethics, literacy, and media analysis from an Islamic perspective.
  • Mass Communication and Cultural Studies – representation of Islam in popular culture, intercultural dialogue, and religious moderation.
  • Organizational Communication and Public Relations – institutional communication, image management, and public relations based on Islamic values.
  • Digital and Social Media Communication – utilization of new media and digital spaces for da’wah, advocacy, and community empowerment.
The journal welcomes empirical research, conceptual papers, and case studies that contribute to the development of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting in local, national, and global contexts.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to this journal are required to comply with its focus and scope as well as the author guidelines. The submitted papers must demonstrate scientific merit or novelty that aligns with the journal’s objectives. Each manuscript must be free from any form of plagiarism. Authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection software prior to submission. The editorial team will verify the originality of each manuscript using plagiarism detection tools, with a maximum similarity tolerance of 25%.

Research articles submitted to this journal will undergo a peer-review process involving at least two (2) or more expert reviewers. Reviewers provide constructive and scholarly feedback aimed at improving the quality and clarity of the manuscript.

The final decision regarding article acceptance is made by the editors based on the reviewers’ evaluations. The publication order of accepted articles is determined by the Editor-in-Chief, taking into account the submission acceptance date, authors’ geographical diversity, and the thematic relevance of each issue.

Publication Frequency

Journal of AT-TABSYIR Journal of Islamic Broadcasting Communications is published twice a year (June and December). Every issue number (issue) amounts to at least ten (10) articles titles.

Publication of articles in peer reviewed journals is an important model for our journal. It is necessary to agree on the expected standards of ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: writers, editors, and publishers mitra bestari.

Ethical Guideline for Journal Publication

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed At-Tabsyir : Journal of Islamic Broadcasting Communication is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore essential to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher and the society.

Department of Communication and Islamic Broadcasting, UIN Sunan Kudus as publisher of At-Tabsyir : Journal of Islamic Broadcasting Communication takes its duties of guardianship over all stages of publishing exceptionally seriously, and we recognize our ethical and other responsibilities. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint or additional commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. Besides, the Department of Communication and Islamic Broadcasting, UIN Sunan Kudus, and the Editorial Board will assist in communications with other journals and publishers where this is useful and necessary.

Decisions Publications

Editor responsible for deciding articles submitted to the journal should be published or not. Editor refer to the policies of the journal editorial board and constrained by legal requirements such as defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism. Editors can talk with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

Fair Play

The editors in evaluating the script based on the content of their intellectual outlook regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy of the authors.

Secrecy

Editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about the manuscript to anyone other than the authors, thinkers partners or reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher.

Each manuscript received bestari reviewer or partners should be treated as confidential documents. They may not be displayed or discussed with others except as permitted by the editor.

Conflict of Interest

Unpublished material in a submitted manuscript must not be used in the editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.

Confidential information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest due to a competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with one of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the paper.

Reviewers Tasks

Provide input to the decision of the Editorial team

Peer review helps the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the articles are made.

Speed

Each bestari selected partners who feel qualified to review the script given by the editor or completely outside the competence of the intellect must be refused and did not do a review process.

Objectivity standards

Manuscript review process should be conducted objectively. The author's personal criticism is inappropriate to do. Reviewers must provide their views clearly and accompanied with supporting arguments.

Statement of Resources

Reviewers should identify other relevant work that has not been cited by the author. Each statement is the result of observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by relevant quotes. Mitra bestari or reviewer should also consider the substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published papers.

Proper recognition of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of their research.

Task Writer

Reporting Standards

The author reports of original research should present an accurate account of the research and studies conducted. Data taken must be written accurately in the research report. A script must detail and has enough references to enable others to refer to both. Reports of fraud or intentionally inaccurate constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

Originality and Plagiarism

The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and / or words of others then they shall mengukitnya correctly according to the rules.

A writer is not supposed to publish the manuscript which describes essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Authorship Script

Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study reported. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors.

The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and other writers included in the manuscript, and all authors must have seen and approved the final version of the manuscript and agreed to publish.

Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects

If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have an unusual hazards inherent in their use, the authors clearly have to identify it in the script.

The fundamental error in the works published

When the authors found a significant error or inaccuracy in his / her own work published, it is the duty of the writer to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the manuscript
