Peer Review Process
Naskah yang masuk akan direview oleh dua orang reviewer. Reviewer memberikan pertimbangan apakah artikel akan diterima tanpa revisi, direvisi atau ditolak. Editor memberikan keputusan berdasarkan saran reviewer
Publication Frequency
Jurnal PALASTREN terbit dua kali dalam setahun (Juni dan Desember). Setiap nomor terbitan (issue) berjumlah tujuh (7) artikel
Open Access Policy
Seluruh konten informasi dan artikel yang tercantum dalam situs jurnal ini bersifat open access untuk tujuan pendidikan, penelitian, dan perpustakaan [lihat juga di Pemberitahuan Hak Cipta].

Palastren menggunakan TURNITIN untuk mengoreksi naskah dan memastikan orisinalitasnya.
Publication Fee
Seluruh proses dalam penerbitan, Palastren tidak memungut pembayaran dari penulis.

Publication Ethics
Palastren: Journal of Gender Studies is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year by the Gender and Children Studies Center (PusatStudiGender danAnak) of IAIN Kudus. The following are the standards of ethical behavior used in the publication decision.
The editor determines the publication process and integrates the roles of authors, reviewers and journal managers to publish excellent and trusted journals. The editor is responsible for taking decision if the articles submitted will be published or not. The editor refers to the policies of the editorial board of the journal which is limited by legal provisions, such as defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism. Editor is possible to discuss with other editors or reviewers in making this decision. The editor works based on the principles and ethical standards as follows:
1. Fair Process
Editors evaluate script content based on their expertise regardless the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy.
2. Confidentiality
The editor and any editorial staff are not allowed to disclose any information about the manuscript to anyone other than the authors, reviewers, other editorial advisors, and publishers. Every manuscripts received by reviewer must be treated as a confidential document. Manuscripts may not be displayed or discussed with others except as permitted by the editor.
3. Avoiding Conflicts of Interest
Unpublished material in a submitted manuscript may not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the author.Confidential information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal benefit. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest due to a competitive, collaborative, or other relationship with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the manuscript.
4. Reviewer’s Responsibilities
The reviewer has duty in critically examining the substance of scientific papers according to their field of expertise. The reviewer must provide suggestions on the editorial team's decision regarding the feasibility of a manuscript for publication.
Peer reviewer assists editors in making editorial decisions and through editorial communication with the authors, can also provide assistants to improve the quality of the articles they composed.
a. Accuracy
Every reviewers selected but feeling does not suit the requirements to review the manuscript provided by the editor or are completely outside their competence must immediately reject and disengage the review process. In case of recognizinganother suitable expert, one may recommend the editor to invite him/her as a reviewer.
b. Objectivity Standards
The manuscript review process must be carried out objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers must state their views clearly along with supporting arguments.
c. Source Statement
The reviewer must identify other relevant works that have not been cited by the author. Every statement as a result of observations, derivations, or arguments that have been used before must be accompanied by relevant quotations. Reviewers must also consider the existence of substantial similarity or overlapping between the manuscript under consideration and other published papers.
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that influence the character of their research.
5. Author Responsibilities
a. Reporting Standards
The original research reports author must present an accurate report of the conductedresearch and studies. The data collected must be written accurately in the research report. Manuscripts should be detailed and have sufficient references to allow others referring to them properly. False reports or intentionally inaccurate behavior is unethical and unacceptable.
b. Originality and Plagiarism
The authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works, and in case the authors have used the work and or others statements, they must quote them correctly according to applicable regulations.
An author should not publish manuscripts describing the same research foundation in more than one major journal or publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time is unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
c. Manuscript Authorship
Essays should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, application, or interpretation of the research being reported. Everyone who has made a significant contribution must be listed as the authors. People who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project must be recognized or registered as contributors.
Authors must ensure that all author members are included in the manuscript. They must have reviewed the final version of the manuscript, approved it and agreed for publication.
d. Fundamental Errors in Published Works
When an author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies on the published manuscript, he/she is obliged to immediately notify the editor of the journal or publisher and work with the editor to retract or revise the manuscript.
In the publication of articles, this journal is in line with the journal editor ethic code of COPE. This ethic code is expected to be obeyed by all parties involved in publishing, those are authors, journal managers (editors), reviewers, and publishers
