Author Guidelines

General Requirements and Points to Note

1. Any manuscript submitted to Politea : Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam should not have been published elsewhere, or sent to other journals, or be under another publisher’s consideration until there is notification from Politea : Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam.
2. All authors are required to sign the Agreement of Licence Transfer once they submit their manuscript to Politea : Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam. By signing the agreement, the copyright is attributed to this journal to protect the intellectual material for the authors. The authors are allowed to share, copy, and redistribute the material in any medium, and in any circumstances to adapt with an appropriate credit to the work. Sharing through repository or personal blog or media is allowed as it can increase the impact of the article.
3. All the business of this journal is conducted through the websites journal https://journal.iainkudus.ac.id/index.php/politea and the editorial team will only communicate to the corresponding author, considered as the representative of the authors of the sumbitted work.
4. All manuscripts submitted to Politea : Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam  will be reviewed anonymously by peer-reviewers who have an expertise on the issue or perspective of the manuscript.
5. Plagiarism issue may arise when the author, after using another person’s work, claims to be the source of the material. However, similarities might happen due to inappropriate citation or in case where the paraphrase was not well stated. To avoid any plagiarism issues, we suggest to authors to screen their papers using plagiarism screening tools such as Turnitin or Grammarly Premium. Politea : Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam will not proceed with the submission subject to this issue and will return it to be fixed and resubmitted. Politea : Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam might also reject it without further consideration if it notices that it was done intentionally (see Plagiarism Policy for further information)

Articles Requirements:

Articles in Politea : Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam are published both in English (British English and American English) and Bahasa Indonesia consistently throughout the text. Please, be sure to write clearly and use correct punctuation. We recommend that non-native speakers have their manuscripts proofread.

The length of an article should be 5000-7000 words including bibliography. It should be sent in editable version as a Microsoft Word (.Doc or .Docx) or Rich Text Format (.Rtf) and use a standard typography (Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing, 12 pt. or use the article template). Organise titles and subtitles using a clear hierarchy. Please do not use more than three levels of headlines. Avoid the use of bullet points or numerated explanations.

The articles are written in the following order:

Title

The title of the article is clear, straightforward and comprised of no more than 14 words. The simple title should arouse curiosity but describe the contents of the article (it can be written as questions).

Abstract

Abstract is written in both English and Indonesian (bilingual). It should include a description of the research objectives, the methods, and main research arguments. Abstracts are completed with keywords containing basic ideas or concepts that represent the field under study. Keywords: no more 6 Keywords

Introduction

Introduction consists of research background (context), previous studies (literature review), research problem (research gap), aim of research, and research arguments.

Theoretical Framework

Theoretical framework is set of concept or theory used as main perspective to guide research flow.

Method

Method informs how research conducted and what data collection and analysis was used.

Result and Discussions

Result consists of data supporting research arguments. Data can be figures, tables, and diagram.

Discussion delivers data interpretation by elaborating any other relevant studies.

Result and Discussion must be firmly separated in sub heading.

Conclusion

Conclusion presents the summary of supporting data strengthening research arguments followed by implications, limitations and research suggestions.

References

It includes all citation sources using APA 6th edition. The citations are strongly recommended by using Mendeley software.

Guidelines to Online Submission

1. Register as an author at https://journal.iainkudus.ac.id/index.php/politea and fill the form as accurately as possible.
2. Log into your account and start a new submission. Follow the instructions correctly.
3. The submission must include (1) Statement of Originality Form; (2) Copyright Transfer Agreement.
4. The Statement of Originality and Copyright Transfer Agreement should be uploaded as supplementary files.
5. Submit the work and observe to be sure it is done

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The author has conformed their article to Politea : Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam author guidelines.

Information for authors

Once the manuscript has been published, authors are allowed to use their published article under Politea : Jurnal Pemikiran Politik Islam copyrights.
