Development of E-LKPD Based on Discovery Learning Integrated with the Jelajah Alam Sekitar Approach Using Baros Mangrove Local Potential

Abstract


Critical thinking and scientific literacy are essential 21st-century competencies that enable students to analyze information, make informed decisions, and solve complex real-world problems. This study aims to determine the feasibility and practicality of an E-LKPD based on Discovery Learning integrated with the Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) approach utilizing the local potential of the Baros Mangrove ecosystem to enhance students’ critical thinking and scientific literacy on ecosystem material at Stage E. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The feasibility test results showed that assessments from material, media and teaching material experts obtained average scores of 100% and 98.18%, categorized as very feasible. Meanwhile, the practicality test results from teacher and student responses reached 85.68% and 98.23%, categorized as very practical. These findings indicate that the developed E-LKPD is highly feasible and practical to be implemented in biology learning to foster students’ critical thinking and scientific literacy.
