Ta`ṡīr Istikhdām Wasīlah al-Qiṣṣah al-Muqaṭṭa'ah (Strip Story) 'alā Mahārah al-Kalām

Abstract


This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Strip Story media in teaching Arabic, particularly in improving speaking skills. In fact, many beginner-level students, especially those in grade VIII at MTsN 2 Kerinci Jambi, still face difficulties in learning speaking skills. This is due to the delivery of material that is not communicative, the use of ineffective teaching methods and media, and a lack of continuous practice. The Strip Story media in this study was developed with innovation by being presented using technology, namely PowerPoint and a laptop. The presentation of material through this technology makes it easier for teachers to deliver conversation texts visually and capture students' attention. The research method used in this study is quantitative with an experimental type. The methods of collecting data are observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis methods include the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing, specifically the t-test. Based on the results of the hypothesis test using the t-test, the obtained value is value tcount=2.582 and ttable =2,020. The conclusion is that there is an effect of using the Strip Story media on the speaking skills of eighth-grade students at MTsN 2 Kerinci Jambi.
